ABOUT JASON

Jason Lee  is one of San Diego's top surf based guitar players. He has been avidly playing guitar for over 20 years. His band Jason Lee and the R.I.P. tides have gained increased notoriety in recent years playing the premier west coast tiki subculture events, such as Tiki Oasis, Taboo, and Tiki Highway. In 2012 the band was signed to Dionysus Records and has their first original full length album available exclusively through Dionysus currently and will be available worldwide April 2014. 2012 also brought the release of the surf music documentary "Reverb Junkies" covering the current third wave of surf music culture in which Jason and the band are featured artists.

Over the past eight years Jason has lead one of YouTube's top instructional video companies teaching guitar techniques for surf, rockabilly, and spaghetti western genres through user friendly tutorials. Jason also regularly records for television and movies applying his vintage sound with a modern twist. He has made it a personal goal to get the Surf guitar and 1960s instrumental music recognized as a more viable genre of music.
